It is electrically-vented and has a rain sensor that will close the window when it is unattended. No more surprise puddles!
Alternatively, the Horizon Fixed window has a durable PVC and glass surface that tapers gently out towards the bottom of the window. It ensures a maximum amount of light in the room while reducing the amount of noise for your neighbours and the environment around your property.
Skylights are primarily installed in unoccupied areas of a building, such as a loft, out-building or garage as they traditionally have less insulative qualities than roof windows. However, our flat roof windows function well in both occupied and unoccupied spaces. They’re ideal for creating light in garages with flat roofs, where there’s no space on external walls for traditional windows.
When a roof is flat, or has just a small pitch to it, water runs down the roof slower. This means flat roof windows have to take into account water and rain management to ensure your roof doesn’t leak. Our windows cater for pitches in the range of 5°-15°.
Dormers will often use traditional vertical windows on the external side. However, shed dormers, with a flat roof, can have flat roof windows installed to maximise light in the room, depending on the design of the dormer.
